The TiCW 638Nd from Morel is a 6.5" (16.5 cm) bass-midrange driver from the Titanium Advanced series, which is equipped with a unique hybrid neodymium/ferrite magnet system. It offers an impressive power handling of up to 1,000 watts and features an open Uniflow die-cast aluminum chassis to reduce reflections. The 3" Hexatech aluminum voice coil in combination with a titanium body ensures low energy storage and enables lightning-fast transients. With a frequency response from 40 Hz to 4,500 Hz on-axis, this bass-midrange driver offers impressive sound quality and versatility. The combination of state-of-the-art technology and selected materials makes the TiCW 638Nd an outstanding choice for demanding audio projects.

Morel Titanium Advanced Series
Morel's Titanium Advanced Woofer Series is the latest leap forward in woofer design. Huge 3" Hexatech™ aluminum voice coils (using hexagonal wires for high sensitivity and power handling) are wound on titanium bodies for amazingly low energy storage, resulting in lightning fast transients for superior transient response and decay. The Qms value has also been increased, allowing for a wider range of enclosure options. Three magnet systems are available: Dual Ferrite, Hybrid™ Neodymium/Ferrite and Hybrid™ Neodymium/Ferrite with a Coppersleeve Neolin™ motor. Each system is available with an impedance of 4 and 8 ohms.
Uniflow™ die-cast aluminum housing
All this would mean nothing if the air sucked in by the speaker got stuck in the engine or frame. Morel has designed the Uniflow chassis to be as open and sonically transparent as possible. An oversized ventilation opening on the pole cap, a spider suspended from the frame and an exposed voice coil ensure that reflections and power-sapping compression are virtually eliminated. The Uniflow chassis also allows the use of an oversized spider for complete control over the oversized voice coil.
The 6-inch TiCW 638Nd woofer features a hybrid neodymium/ferrite magnet system, a Coppersleeve Neolin motor (for the best possible transient response), an impedance of 4 ohms and a unique one-piece DPC (Damped Polymer Composite) cone that offers a flat frequency response from 40 Hz to 4,500 Hz on-axis and from 40 Hz to 4,000 Hz off-axis. Thanks to its large voice coil, it can handle 10 ms peak power transients of up to 1,000 watts when used correctly.
