Maximum low bass vs. space requirement
It is obvious that an 18-inch subwoofer can produce
maximum low bass. The bass level is also excellent and this dimension provides a great wind in the car. On the other hand, we should not forget to mention that the space required for a 46 cm subwoofer should be carefully planned. A subwoofer needs space: the lower the frequency, the longer the wavelength, the more air the subwoofer has to move. As we are dealing with frequencies of up to 10 Hz here, the space requirement is naturally high. It is also obvious that a
