The history and background of Gately Audio
Northern California native Bobby Gately grew up in the Bay Area and took a keen interest in car audio at the age of 14. Growing up in a family of car enthusiasts, he learned about tools, materials and hard work at an early age.
Bobby built his first subwoofer enclosure in the summer of 1989 on the front lawn of his Milpitas home using borrowed tools and inexpensive materials. Of course, that first cabinet for his friend Jason was just the beginning.
Over the years, Bobby has acquired an extensive knowledge of sound engineering, trends and manipulations. His mastery of custom fabrication comes from years of material experimentation and technical innovation.
Gately Audio began manufacturing Production and Perfect Fit cabinets in 2017 to achieve the best quality in the industry. Bobby tirelessly revised and improved every single enclosure added to the product lineup, and he continues to do so today. Gately Audio is synonymous with quality craftsmanship, beautiful aesthetics and unsurpassed performance.
