Crossovers for splitting the audio signal

Crossovers enable the analog division of an audio signal to several loudspeakers depending on the respective frequency (pitch). This becomes necessary because tweeter, midrange and woofer loudspeakers have been optimized specifically for the reproduction of a certain frequency range.
