Description

The Zapco ST-1000XM III 1-channel bass amplifier from the ST-X Class D Series is part of a series of four Class D mono bass amplifiers that achieve an output of 400 watts RMS to 2,000 watts RMS. All Studio-XM amplifiers can also be connected to a single voice coil, so you can double their power at any time by simply connecting them to another amplifier of the same model via the link function. The ST-1000XM III 1-channel amplifier has an output of 1000 watts RMS at 1 ohm. Settings for the crossover and bass boost are located on the front panel. The ST-1000XM III comes with a bass remote control.

All new ST-XM III amplifiers have the following in common:

    • Bass remote control - All ST-X amplifiers are supplied with a remote control that allows you to instantly change the bass output if required.
    • Input sensitivity control (Gain) - Adjusts the sensitivity between 200 mV and over 5 volts.
    • Mono Bridge Out and Bridge In - These allow two amplifiers to be connected together (strapping). If the Bridge Out RCA of the main amplifier is connected to the Bridge RCA In of the slave amplifier, the main amplifier (Out) has priority for control.
    • Low-pass crossover - All ST-XM amplifiers are designed as bass amplifiers and have a fully-fledged low-pass crossover that can be adjusted from 40 to 180 Hz.
    • Sub Sonic (HP) Filter - Playing frequencies below the ones you want to hear wastes amplifier power. The sub sonic filter helps save that power for those frequencies. More importantly, frequencies below the subwoofer's allowable range can quickly destroy the subwoofer . This is especially important for enclosures with ports.
    • Bass Boost Control - All ST-XM amplifiers have a variable bass boost from 0 dB to 12 dB.
    • Bass Frequency Control - The bass response of a subwoofer is different in every car, so a bass boost at 50 Hz may be great in one car but useless in another. With the ST-X Bass Frequency control, you can set the bass boost to any frequency between 30 Hz and 80 Hz so that you can tune it precisely to the music in your car.
    • Phase control - A bass enclosure that is aligned to the front sounds different from one that is aligned to the rear. In both cases, changing the phase of the subwoofer makes a difference. In addition, the ST-XM phase control is variable from 0° to 180°, so you can set the exact phase relationship that works best in your car.
