The RD500/1 is a powerful 1-channel amplifier from JL Audio. This monoblock subwoofer amplifier in Class D scores with a rated power of 500W at 2 ohms. The RD500/1's NexD™ switching technology delivers large amounts of output power with precise efficiency and ultra-low distortion. The strategic placement of controls and connections, combined with innovative signal processing and automatic power-on function, not only gives you optimum performance, but also ease of use. The RD500/1 is given a special touch by its two-color LED light strip and built-in LED indicator for input sensitivity adjustment.

- The RD500/1 amplifier was developed to generate a whopping 500 watts into 2 ohms (14.4 V, 1 % THD).
- The secret behind its performance is JL's proprietary NexD™ switching technology, which delivers large amounts of output power with precise efficiency and ultra-low distortion.
- The controls of the RD500/1 are located on the top of the amplifier under a protective cover, with all connections on one side of the chassis.
- Signal processing functions include a 12 dB/octave low-pass filter with stepless frequency selection from 50-500 Hz and a variable bass boost EQ. Differential balanced dual range inputs are also available to accept most input voltage levels.
- An automatic switch-on function (via signal sampling or DC offset sampling) is standard, along with a range of preamplifier outputs so that signals can be easily routed to another amplifier.
- The RD500/1 is also equipped with a built-in LED display. This completely new, innovative function allows the input sensitivity setting of the amplifier to be adjusted quickly and precisely without the need for special equipment.
- The RD500/1 has a durable, black powder-coated finish and a top-mounted, two-color LED light strip that indicates the overall status and condition.
- With an additional RBC-1 remote control (sold separately), you can control the subwoofer output directly from the driver's seat.
