Features

  • JL's patented Thin-Line woofer technology compresses the architecture of the 13TW5v2 with a "concentric tube" structure that supports the 7-inch diameter voice coil and suspension mounts.
  • This makes it possible to place the large motor structure much further forward in the speaker than with conventional designs, while at the same time achieving excellent linear excursion and mechanical stability.
  • To get even more performance out of this technology, the v2 improves on the original 13TW5 with 13% greater linear excursion.
  • The cast alloy chassis has also been modified to achieve greater strength and the redesigned engine now has a ring-shaped breather.
  • The v2 is also available in versions with a 2-ohm and a 4-ohm voice coil to suit a wide range of applications.
  • In keeping with its "tight spaces" mission, the 13TW5v2 is optimized for enclosures far smaller than most 12/13-inch woofers require, and only slightly larger than the airspace requirements of a typical, small 10-inch woofer.
  • The mounting system is designed to fit into roughly the same footprint as a typical 12-inch woofer.
  • The 13TW5v2 is best used with amplifier powers in the 250W - 600W range and is optimized for operation in a 22.7L (0.80 cu. ft.) sealed enclosure. 
  • Never before has such a high-quality sub-bass been possible in the most demanding installation applications.
