The Zapco ST-2X SQ III 2-channel amplifier from the ST-X Class AB Series is a powerful sounding Class AB stereo amplifier with 2x 190 watts RMS into 2 ohms. It has both a high-level and a low-level in via cinch. Crossover settings and a variable bass boost control can be found on the front panel.
The Studio-X amplifiers feature the same high-quality capacitors, operational amplifiers and bipolar outputs that have made the Reference Series amplifiers the industry standard for sound quality.
There are six full-range amplifiers in the Studio-X series and all are Class A/B and all use bipolar output devices for the best possible sound. And all are equipped with all the features you could wish for. Common features of ST-X amplifiers include variable electronic HP/LP/full-range crossovers, variable bass boost, variable gain per channel pair, speaker level input, heavy-duty locking binding posts and preamp outputs that can be routed to the next amplifier in the system without the need for additional RCA cables. And the most important feature that all ST-X amplifiers have in common is the legendary Zapco sound quality, developed with over 40 years of experience.
With the new Studio-X III, you get the sound quality that other companies only offer in their large competitive amplifiers (and better than many of them), in a new fan-cooled aluminum heat sink for improved efficiency and reliability, plus numerous features are included, such as 12dB/octave multifunction crossover, bass boost, variable gain and even pass-through RCA outputs. These amplifiers have a distortion factor of less than 0.1 % and a signal-to-noise ratio of over 95 dB for multi-channel amplifiers; less than 0.1 % distortion factor and a signal-to-noise ratio of over 100 dB for mono amplifiers.
