Description

The 350A - 13.4V-16.2V alternator from AD Alternators is a universal alternator that is perfect for all vehicle types. It is characterized by an adjustable voltage of 13.4V-16.2V and a current of 350A and also includes a voltage regulator. With its universal plugs and a selection of sizes, this alternator offers a high degree of flexibility and compatibility.

Special features

• The alternator is not compatible with DF / DFM controls, the alternator works independently with its controller and the control function is omitted. 
• The charging indicator light must be bypassed to prevent it from lighting up.
• The alternator should be operated via a relay and separate switch so that the generator can only be switched on when the engine is running. 
• If the universal alternator is used as a replacement for the original part, it may be necessary on some vehicles to code the control unit to prevent warning lights (VAG speed signal). In addition, the universal alternator can always be installed.

To replace the original internal regulator with an external regulator from AD Alternators

• 1. remove all parts of the original regulator and disconnect all connections carefully.
• 2. the original regulator should only have the brush holder without any connection.
• 3. unsolder 2 wires from the brushes of the original regulator (black, yellow).

Su you connect the alternator

• 1. connect the black cable from the brush to ground.
• 2. connect the yellow cable from the second brush to the yellow cable of the controller.

To connect the controller

• 1. connect the black cable to ground.
• 2. connect the red cable to +12V after the ignition (fuel pump, relay, etc.).
• 3. connect the yellow cable to the yellow cable of the second brush.
