The 12TW3-D4 from JL Audio is a 12-inch (30cm) subwoofer in a class of its own. Quality and performance come together in this specially designed subwoofer, known for its powerful combination of shallow depth and high excursion. With innovative technology based on the TW5 thin-line subwoofer, the 12TW3-D4 offers remarkable performance and excursion that surpasses even the W3v3 subwoofers. Designed for small enclosures, it offers optimum sound quality in a small footprint. Also note its special features such as the low installation depth, the long linear excursion and the DMA-optimized motor design. The aluminum rear cover and dust cap with the JL Audio logo are also eye-catching.
Features
- Building on the core technology of JL's TW5 thin-line subwoofers, the TW3s offer a powerful combination of low installation depth and high excursion. They are even able to realize greater excursion than the W3v3 subwoofers.
- To enable this remarkable performance, JL Audio's patented Thin-Line woofer technology compresses the TW3's architecture through a "concentric tube" structure built into the injection-molded cone body. This structure supports the voice coil and a full-ring spider while allowing the large motor structure to be placed further forward in the speaker than conventional designs.
- The TW3 are optimized for small enclosures and feature JL's lug mounting design to maximize the cone area within their mounting surface.
