- With PowerWedge+âą systems, the power is built directly into the subwoofer system. This subwoofer system, which includes a proprietary Class D amplifier, utilizes JL's exclusive DCDâą amplifier technology to extract maximum power from its specially designed, ultra-low impedance TW1 driver. By combining direct power conversion with an ultra-high current output section, DCDâą amplifiers are free from conventional switching power supplies, allowing them to produce remarkable power with unprecedented efficiency.
- This subwoofer system harnesses the power and insanely small cabinet requirements of the TW1 subwoofer and is designed to deliver amazing sub bass from a cabinet just 235mm deep. Its low profile cabinet design has been carefully tuned to provide the optimum vented cabinet orientation for the 12TW1 driver and refined through extensive listening in the field.
- Integration into OEM and aftermarket head units is a breeze thanks to a wide range of input options and automatic switch-on capability (via signal sensing or DC offset sensing).
- Also included is a low-pass filter with variable frequency (50-200 Hz) and a switch to control the output polarity.
- By adding an optional RBC-1 remote control (sold separately), you can control the subwoofer level directly from the driver's seat.
- A quick-release power supply connection makes it easy to remove the subwoofer if you need the extra space.
- Note: DCDâą amplified systems use very specific components. Never use a DCDâą amplifier or the associated subwoofer(s) with incompatible, non-DCDâą products. Doing so will invalidate the warranty and may result in serious damage.
