Properties
Slipstream™ port design
- At high sound pressure levels, airflow turbulence in the opening of a vented enclosure can cause noise that sounds like the woofer breaking up. The patented Slipstream opening in Series II enclosures is double-widened to minimize turbulence and avoid unwanted swirling.
SSI™ (Selectable Smart Impedance)
- Most car audio systems are designed for an impedance of 2 or 4 ohms. Series II subwoofers feature an exclusive dual impedance switch that allows you to choose one of two impedance options. With SSI, you can reconfigure your system with the flip of a switch - something no other manufacturer offers.
High-roll surround
- The Series II enclosures are equipped with a high-roll surround that ensures better suspension of the cone edges while maximizing excursion. It not only increases the cone area, but also ensures remarkable linear stability and reliability.
