As a renowned manufacturer, Focal presents the BAM-XL. This is a sound insulation kit that has been specially developed to effectively dampen vibrations from the sheet metal and backwaves from the speakers. The BAM-XL not only offers improved external noise damping, but also increases the bass level in the car. The kit consists of a 50cm x 200cm panel (1m²) and combines three technical materials for unsurpassed acoustic performance: honeycomb damping material, a thin aluminum plate and a viscoelastic complex. Its optimized design makes the BAM-XL the perfect addition to any high-quality car audio installation.

Honeycomb damping material

Like the acoustic foam inside a loudspeaker, the honeycomb damping material attenuates the backwave of the loudspeaker and thus increases the output power of the loudspeaker.
Aluminum plate
Aluminum gives the butyl-foam pair rigidity. This rigidity also makes it easy to install the BAM in difficult places.
Viscoelastic complex
The butyl complex is self-adhesive and absorbs the vibrations of the surface it comes into contact with. It greatly dampens the external noise that reaches the interior of the vehicle.
