ESB Audio Q5 Front 200

The Q5 Front 200 Audi speaker set from ESB Audio redefines high-end audio. The ESB Audio Q5 Front 200 Set is a high-end audio speaker set consisting of the following components.

• 2x A4-FTW1 1.2"/32 mm dome tweeter
• 2x A4-F81 8"/200 mm bass-midrange speaker

Although these tweeters and bass-midrange drivers are Plug&Play, as offered by many competitors, they are of a much higher quality and are characterized by the best materials, such as die-cast aluminium baskets, which you won't find in the competition. The first ESB special loudspeakers were produced for Audi vehicles. Audi A4, Audi A6 and Q5. The ESB team immediately encountered the problem of matching the unique Audi speaker enclosure and the original amplifier (with too little power to drive the high-quality speakers properly). As it was not possible to replace the amplifier integrated into the vehicle electronics with its own must bus and DSP, the challenge was to develop new, higher quality speakers that had the same or higher efficiency than the original speakers. The depth of the speaker cabinet was also very limited (only a few centimeters), so it was impossible to adapt cone speakers with conventional voice coils and magnets. We then developed new speakers (in 8" and 6.5" sizes) with neodymium magnets and a special voice coil assembly. These speakers are called ESB CS-W81 and ESB CS-W61 and can also be found in other vehicles. These speakers have a shallow installation depth and can be adapted precisely to the vehicle compartment using special car adapters (in elegant Ferrari aluminum red). The plugs can also match the car's original cable connections, plug and play. In addition to the 8" and 6.5" speakers, we have also developed two new tweeters for Audi: the 1.2" ESB CS-T31 and the 1" ESB CS-T21. You will also find these two tweeters in other cars. All speakers included in the car kits have a different name because they are only integrated in the kit with the car adapters. So the ESB CS-W81 becomes the ESB A6-F81, which is used in the front of the Audi 6, and the ESB A4-F81, which is used in the front of the Audi 4 and Audi Q5. The same applies to the other Audi loudspeakers.

• The A4-FTW1 uses the ESB CS-T31 1.2"/3.2 cm component tweeter with a special adapter for the Audi A4/Q5 original tweeter housing in the front seats.
