    Der 45-1125 - 45Ah LTO A-Grade 25C Extreme von GS Audio ist ein hochwertiger Lithium-Titanoxid-Akku (LTO). Mit einer Nennspannung von 2,4V und einer Kapazität von 45Ah, bietet dieser Akku eine beeindruckende Lebensdauer von über 16.000 Zyklen. Die Zellen sind in der Lage, hohe Lade- und Entladeströme zu bewältigen und eignen sich für verschiedenste Anwendungen. Jede Zelle wiegt etwa 1 kg und misst 60 mm x 160 mm. Der Akku ist für den Einsatz in Temperaturanwendungen von -55°C bis 65°C ausgelegt.

Notes on LTO cells
  • Der optimale Arbeitsbereich der LTO Zellen ist im Bereich von 2,0V bis 2,5V.
  • When charging the cells above 2.5V, the voltage rises more strongly, above 2.6V very strongly. The situation is similar when discharging below 2.0V!
  • It is therefore also very important to use a good active balancer for LTO cells that are connected in series.
  • When working with very high currents (charging or discharging), it may be necessary to further restrict the operating range in order to avoid large voltage increases or voltage drops.

Difference between LTO - LiFePO4 lithium batteries

Lithium titanate cells (LTO)
    • + extremely long service life
    • + 10x longer cycle life than LiFePO4 cells
    • + extremely safe
    • + Very high charging and discharging currents possible (5C-10C)
    • + weniger temperaturempfindlich, kann auch bei <0°C geladen werden

    • - LTO is more expensive than LiFePO4
    • - higher weight or less capacity
    • - lower cell voltage (2.3V), therefore more cells required for the same battery voltage
Lithium iron phosphate cells (LiFePO4)

    • + higher capacity
    • + higher cell voltage (3.2V), fewer cells required
    • - shorter service life
    • - not quite as safe as LTO
    • - max. charging and discharging currents are significantly lower (2C-3C)
