The EX6.5 from DD Audio is a 6.5 inch (16.5 cm) coaxial loudspeaker that belongs to the manufacturer's E series. The woofer consists of an injection-molded poly cone, a rubber surround and a sturdy steel frame. The double-slotted voice coils and the copper pole cap of the motor for extended high-frequency range and higher efficiency are particularly noteworthy. With the 20 mm mylar dome tweeter, the EX6.5 delivers a clean sound image and excellent sound details in the upper frequency range. With an output of 50 watts RMS and peak values of 100 watts, this speaker offers an impressive sound experience.
Woofer
- The woofer of the EX6.5 consists of an injection-molded poly cone, a rubber surround and a sturdy steel frame. For lower inductance, extended high frequency response and higher efficiency, the voice coils are double slotted and the motor is fitted with a copper pole cap. The soft parts are driven by an 11 oz high flux ferrite magnet motor.
