Description
The APS 10 D is designed to deliver maximum power in a sealed enclosure with an ultra-compact volume of 10 to 12 liters. The dual voice coil and single voice coil versions feature plug-in connectors for easy cabling and configurations. The Prima subwoofer components were developed with one primary goal in mind: to deliver high performance in the smallest possible space. Power is a question of excursion; the more air the cone moves, the more level. However, a shallow installation depth traditionally means low excursion. Prima subwoofers use a special cone-dust cap-basket geometry that guarantees a large excursion of the mobile group, while the installation depth is reduced to a minimum. The surround and the centering spider have been carefully designed to prevent the "rocking mode" phenomenon. The cooling circuit has been equipped with ventilation holes on the basket below the spider, so that no ventilation holes are required on the base plate. This allows the subwoofer to be mounted close to the rear wall of the enclosure, making optimum use of the shallow installation depth.
