Fi Car Audio

Fi Car Audio manufactures handcrafted subwoofers that are proudly designed and built in Las Vegas. The subwoofers are made from USA made steel and manufactured in-house.

Fi Car Audio has completely transitioned their subwoofer portfolio to neodymium subwoofers starting in 2021.

You have a lot of upgrade optionsto choose from with each subwoofer:

  • For the NEO 3.X and NEO 4.X series, you can choose between different sizes of neodymium motor designs and number of neodymium cores.
  • For the NEO 3.X series, subwoofer dimensions of 12", 15" and 18" are available.
  • With the NEO 4.X series you have the choice of 12", 15", 18" and gigantic 21" subwoofers.
  • There is also the option of using additional center spiders.
  • Both series are available with either D1 or D2 voice coils.
  • Additionally Fi Car Audio offers the possibility to choose one of 3 cooling designs, where we will automatically choose the most efficient one for you.
  • The dustcap is always made of carbon. Here you have the choice of glossy carbon in 6" or 7", or a woven dustcap carbon design in 6".
  • Finally you have the possibility to choose thecolor of the Fi Car Audio logo. Almost all RAL colors are available. The default is white. If you want a special color here, write us!

Information about all Fi Car Audio Neo3.X subwoofer models:

  • New cooling and inductance features that are built in stages. The first stage is a machined aluminum pole piece sleeve. This provides better heat dissipation and is the first part of the inductance linearization and reduction. The second stage is a combination of the pole sleeve and a domed aluminum compression cap. This increases the compression ratio for cooling and reduces the inductance in the deflection. The third stage uses the pole sleeve, compression cap, and a thick aluminum fin, which again lowers and linearizes inductance and aids in heat dissipation. With the third stage, we have reduced the inductance by almost a factor of 3 since we are not using aluminum.
  • All cables are stitched in the same pattern and use the screwed terminal block, as well as the original hybrid design. But we've added push terminals that use the same setup, with the ability to handle much larger speaker cables and completely remove the multiple solder and crimp points that could create unwanted resistance.
  • All Neo3.X subs use the high Xmax double 1 ohm and double 2 ohm coils for 34mm one way Xmax.

Classification of the Fi Car Audio Neo3.5 subwoofers:

  • Comparable to the older Q series drivers. Great SQ (especially with full cool/IND options. Standard 2 center spiders, but can be upgraded to 3. 1750W. Works in sealed, ported, 4th and 6th order enclosures. For SQ oriented daily applications. 12″, 15″, and 18″ sizes.

Classification of Fi Car Audio Neo3.7 subwoofers:

Information on all Fi Car Audio Neo4.X subwoofer models:

  • New cooling and induction features that are built in stages. The first stage is a machined aluminum pole sleeve. This provides better heat dissipation and is the first part of the inductance linearization and reduction. The second stage is a combination of the pole sleeve and a domed aluminum compression cap. This increases the compression ratio to cooling and reduces inductance in the drive-out region. The third stage uses the pole sleeve, compression cap, and a thick aluminum fin, which again lowers and linearizes inductance and aids in heat dissipation. With the third stage, we reduced the inductance by almost a factor of 3 when not using aluminum.
