Fi Car Audio

Fi Car Audio manufactures handcrafted subwoofers that are proudly designed and built in Las Vegas. The subwoofers are made from USA-made steel and produced in-house.

Fi Car Audio has completely switched its subwoofer portfolio to neodymium subwoofers as of 2021.

You can choose from a wide range of upgrade options for each subwoofer:

  • With the NEO 3.X and NEO 4.X series, you can choose between different sizes of neodymium motor designs and numbers of neodymium cores.
  • The NEO 3.X series offers subwoofer dimensions of 12", 15" and 18".
  • The NEO 4.X series offers a choice of 12", 15", 18" and gigantic 21" subwoofers.
  • There is also the option of using additional centering spiders.
  • Both series are available with either D1 or D2 voice coils.
  • In addition, Fi Car Audio offers the option of choosing one of 3 cooling designs, from which we automatically select the most efficient variant for you.
  • The dust cap is always made of carbon. Here you have the choice of Glossy Carbon in 6" or 7", or a woven Dustcap Carbon design in 6"
  • Finally, you have the option of selecting thecolor of the Fi Car Audio logo. Almost all RAL colors are available. The standard color is white. If you want a special color, write to us!

Information on all Fi Car Audio Neo3.X subwoofer models:

  • New cooling and inductance characteristics, built in stages. The first stage is a milled aluminum pole piece. This ensures better heat dissipation and is the first part of inductance linearization and reduction. The second stage is a combination of the pole sleeve and a domed aluminum compression cap. This increases the compression ratio for cooling and reduces the inductance in the deflection. The third stage uses the pole sleeve, the compression cap and a thick aluminium fin, which in turn lowers and linearizes the inductance and supports heat dissipation. With the third stage, we have reduced the inductance by almost a factor of 3 because we do not use aluminum.
  • All cables are stitched in the same pattern and use the screwed terminal block, as well as the original hybrid design. But we have added push terminals that use the same setup, with the ability to handle much larger speaker cables and completely remove the multiple solder and crimp points that could create unwanted resistance.
  • All Neo3.X subs use the high Xmax dual 1 ohm and dual 2 ohm coils for 34mm one-way Xmax.

Classification of the Fi Car Audio Neo3.5 subwoofers:

  • Comparable to the older Q series drivers. Great SQ (especially with full cool/IND options. Standard 2 center spiders, but can be upgraded to 3. 1750W. Works in closed, ported, 4th and 6th order enclosures. For SQ-oriented daily applications. 12″, 15″, and 18″ sizes.

Classification of the Fi Car Audio Neo3.7 subwoofers:

  • Comparable to older BTL series drivers. Great, robust driver for everyday use with great heritage. Standard with 3 spiders but can be made with 4 or 5 if required for increased mechanical durability or SPL specific applications. 2500W power handling. Works well in ported or 6th order enclosures. Available in 12″, 15″, and 18″ sizes.

Classification of the Fi Car Audio Neo3.9 subwoofers:

  • Comparable to the Team3 series. High motor power and extreme attack. Great for SPL or high pressure applications. 2500W+. Standard with 4 spiders, but can also be fitted with 5 or 6 spiders if required for SPL specific applications. Works great in high pressure bass reflex or 6th order bandpass enclosures. Available in 12″, 15″, and 18″ sizes.

Information on all Fi Car Audio Neo4.X subwoofer models:

  • New cooling and induction features built in stages. The first stage is a milled aluminum pole sleeve. This ensures better heat dissipation and is the first part of the inductance linearization and reduction. The second stage is a combination of the pole sleeve and a domed aluminum compression cap. This increases the compression ratio for cooling and reduces the inductance in the level range. The third stage uses the pole sleeve, the compression cap and a thick aluminium fin, which in turn lowers and linearizes the inductance and supports heat dissipation. With the third stage, we have reduced the inductance by almost a factor of 3 when not using aluminum.
  • All cables are stitched in the same pattern and use the screwed terminal block as the original hybrid design. But we added push terminals that use the same setup, with the ability to handle much larger wires and completely remove the multiple solder and crimp points that could introduce unwanted resistance.

Classification of the Fi Car Audio Neo4.7 subwoofers:

  • Comparable to the SP4 and BTL4 series drivers. Solid 4″ workhorses that work well in just about any application. Standard 3 centering spider suspension. Load capacity of 3500W. 12″, 15″, and 18″ sizes.

Classification of the Fi Car Audio Neo4.9 subwoofer:

  • Comparable to SP4+ or Team Series drivers, depending on coil option. Comes with standard 4″ and 4 centering spiders, with the option for the Plus 4″ coils, with extra centering spiders and gap option. 4 centering spiders on standard and 5 centering spiders on team bobbin. Works well in ported, 4th or 6th order bandpass enclosures. Power handling 3500W-4500W depending on coil and Cool/IND options. Available in 12″, 15″, 18″ and 21″ sizes.

Classification of the Fi Car Audio Neo4.11 subwoofers:

  • The middle ground between the Delta and Omega lines: comes with standard 4″ coils and 4 center spiders with options on the Plus 4″ coils, extra center spider and gap option. Designed for modern monster applications in ported, 4th or 6th order bandpass enclosures. Bass capability: 3500 watts depending on coil and cool/IND options. Available in 12″, 15″, 18″ and 21″ sizes.
