2-Din car radios

For 2-DIN car radios, the dimensions of 50mm x 100mm are standardized, but not the plugs. In addition to different antenna plugs, 2-DIN car radios can have different supply plugs depending on the vehicle. Due to their complexity, 2-DIN car radios are also referred to as vehicle-specific car radios.

These car radios are often referred to as head units, as they are the interface to the car, similar to a command center. For example, climate settings or vehicle settings can be adjusted via these car radios. The front of these devices often forms a single unit with the dashboard.

Special sizes
In addition to 2-DIN car radios, there is also the Double ISO standardization. The dimensions of the installation slot are identical except for the height. With Double ISO, the height is 113 mm instead of 103 mm.
