The C1-690X is a 6 "x9" speaker set from JL Audio that offers you an impressive audio experience. It is a coaxial speaker system equipped with a 6 x 9-inch woofer and a 1.0-inch aluminum dome tweeter. The C1 speakers deliver a solid performance and are designed to be easily mounted behind factory grilles. Mounting is even easier with the included spacers/adapter rings. What makes this set special is the proprietary stamped oval steel frame and DMA-optimized motor system, which allows for precise control and movement. With an RMS continuous power handling of 60 W and a recommended amplifier power of 10 - 100 W per channel, the C1-690X offers superior clarity and definition in the high frequency range.

- At the heart of the C1-690x is a proprietary stamped oval 6 x 9 inch (150 x 230 mm) steel frame and a DMA-optimized motor system. A mineral-filled, injection-molded polypropylene cone is suspended with a rubber surround at the front and a carefully engineered, low-profile Conex® spider at the top of the voice coil to precisely control movement and prevent shock between the voice coil and backplate.

- Equipped with a true edge-driven aluminum dome tweeter, the C1 speakers further set themselves apart from other speakers in their category with their superior clarity and definition in the high frequency range. The tweeter design inherently has excellent off-axis response and high frequency extension. It also benefits from the damping of a silk surround suspension and ferrofluid in the voice coil gap, as well as the superior strength of a neodymium magnetic circuit. A true 2nd order high-pass filter is used to further increase smoothness and improve power handling.
