The B2 Audio REF8W was originally designed to complement the popular reference 3-way system. The wide and extremely low starting frequency response of 40 Hz ~ 6 KHz makes this driver almost a full-range driver and is therefore suitable for countless applications. Whether as a low-midrange driver, woofer, or midrange driver, this driver is perfectly usable.

Technology: A narrow voice coil of 2" can lead one to question the power handling. B2 Audio has cleverly worked around this by extending the voice coil winding height by 100% without increasing the mounting depth (only 4.2" / 108 mm). This requires a precision wound coil, with windings on both the inside and outside. The advantage is that efficiency is better than simpler traditional designs.
