With its mineral-filled polypropylene cones and an embossed steel frame, the JL Audio C2-570X defies the common misconception that oval speakers can't perform as well as round ones and delivers impressive performance in oval ports. Another advantage of this speaker system is the coaxially mounted tweeter with a 0.75-inch silk dome cone, which allows for smooth, extended reproduction both on and off axis.

Many mistakenly believe that an oval speaker can't perform as well as a round one, which leads to many cases of 5.25-inch speakers being installed in 5 x 7-inch openings. JL Audio has put a lot of time and effort into designing fantastic sounding speakers that fit into oval openings and are guaranteed to deliver the same performance as JL's round 6.5-inch (165mm) speaker systems. So don't make the mistake of losing cone area and efficiency by resorting to a smaller round speaker, these ovals are just as impressive as JL's round format systems.
The C2-570x system features 5 x 7 / 6 x 8-inch woofers (125 x 180 mm) with mineral-filled polypropylene cones, long excursion capability and stamped steel frames. The woofer design benefits from JL Audio's extensive experience in woofer design and advanced modeling systems.
The tweeters are coaxially mounted and constructed with 0.75-inch silk dome cones that provide smooth, extended on- and off-axis response. The small size of the C2 tweeter minimizes tweeter protrusion, allowing C2 coaxial speakers to fit behind most factory speaker grilles.
Grilles are not available for this speaker system.
