The Sundown Audio SA Series, including the Sundown Audio SA8 v.3, is Sundown Audio's top selling series! The brand new v.3 version features a larger, more powerful motor to drive the 2-inch coil and stronger centering - maintaining the perfect balance of the original SA Series while increasing the power handling to 500 watts RMS. The Sundown Audio SA8 v.3 is the first subwoofer to be available in the v.3 version!
The Sundown Audio SA8 v.3 has a linear excursion (XMAX) of 16 mm which allows a little more than 32 mm x-mech. The motor also features a large magnetic ID shorting ring (Faraday ring) to reduce distortion caused by inductance and inductance variations across the excursion.
