Bass reflex tubes

Bass reflex tubes for bandpass enclosures and bass reflex enclosures

Bass reflex tubes - also known as aeroports - are used for Bass reflex enclosure resp. Bandpass housing required. This is a special type of enclosure that has been specially developed for subwoofers and woofers. These are not closed, but have a bass reflex channel. This bass reflex channel guides the air between the inside and outside of the enclosure so that sound waves in low frequency ranges can be amplified.. The sound waves emitted backwards are used to amplify the bass. In this way, the air volume inside the speaker enclosure interacts with the bass reflex port to form a system capable of resonating. The result is reflected in a significantly higher sound pressure level in the lowest octaves, and the power bandwidth can increase by more than an octave.
