CTK Mastic1 is an extremely heavy, ready-to-use, brushable, 1-component anti-drumming paste with a very hard, stable final consistency. The CTK damping paste has excellent sound absorption and vibration damping properties. After drying, a solid protective layer is formed on the treated surface, which is resistant to mechanical shocks, vibrations and corrosion. The damping paste can therefore also be applied in damp areas. The paste is initially sticky, but hardens within a few hours after application. The damping paste is ideal for all trim parts, as these are usually particularly unstable and susceptible to vibrations. 

A common problem when insulating with aluminum butyl is that you can't get into all the slots and cracks in the door panels, etc., which means that even after insulating with aluminum butyl, various trim parts continue to rattle and buzz. This is now a thing of the past with the insulating paste! 

Features CTK Mastic1 insulating paste:

  • Flexible corrosion-resistant paste that dampens vibrations and suppresses noise, based on butyl rubber compound  
  • Corrosion protection, waterproof, with damping and noise-suppressing properties 
  • Can be diluted with solvents for phthalic, oil or bitumen products (e.g. white spirit)
  • Application in the car, especially good for trim parts
  • Ready-to-use, spreadable and fillable compound for effective sound insulation in the automotive, home hi-fi, machine and construction sectors. The highly stable material consistency causes an extreme stiffening of the substrate, for the deadening of structure-borne noise by simply immobilizing vibrating parts. The material density of the aggregates results in high effectiveness, even with low application thickness.
  • The choice of material results in an effective increase in the load-bearing capacity of the substrate through the application of weight and stability.

  • Color: Black
  • Consumption when applying a 1 mm thick layer: 1.2-1.5 kg / m2
  • Recommended thickness of the applied layers: at least 2 mm 
  • Operating temperature range: -30ºC to + 80ºC
  • Recommended brush application temperature: 15-25ºC
  • Package contents: 2.0 kg 

Application CTK Mastic1 insulating paste:

  • Further application is carried out using a brush or spatula. 

  • Recommended layer thickness: Up to 5mm per pass to shorten the drying time in the air. 

  • For very smooth substrates, a small amount of primer is recommended. First apply a thin, saturated coat to the entire surface and allow to dry briefly if necessary. This measure ensures a significantly improved bond with the substrate.

  • The user must always check the suitability of the substrate and compatibility with various environmental conditions before applying the product in question. The surfaces must be stable, solid, clean, dry and free of oil, grease and dust. Due to the many possible applications, we recommend always carrying out your own tests before further processing.

        Please request prior confirmation from Customer Service to confirm the correct return address. Please note the return period of 14 days. The return can then be sent back to the address below. Please enclose a copy of the invoice or order confirmation with the parcel so that we can allocate it quickly.         How can I track the progress of my order?
