The Morel MPS 2.150 Limited 2-channel amplifier from the MPS Limited amplifier series has been developed to the highest standards to celebrate Morel's 45th anniversary. The Class AB stereo amplifier uses audiophile components, including Ti (Burr Brown) OPA2134 operational amplifiers, Rubicon and WIMA capacitors with ultra-low ESR, gold-plated connectors, and chassis-mounted RCA connectors. Balanced line inputs with noise suppression can receive signals of up to 20 volts. Removable side panels allow for unique mounting options and stacking of amplifiers.

The MPS Limited amplifiers feature an optional stacking system for the use of multiple MPS Limited amplifiers in one system.

During installation, you select the correct mode under the amplifier. In High-Power mode, the MPS 2.150 Limited delivers 150 watts x 2 to a 4-ohm load. When switched to High-Current mode, the amplifier is now optimized for 150 watts x 2 at 2 ohms. This simple solution provides an exceptionally stable platform and an extremely effective way to harness the amplifier's power potential.

The Morel MPS 2.500 LIMITED offers two power modes: the High-Power mode and the High-Current mode. In High-Power mode, the amplifier delivers 150 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms, which means high output power for demanding speaker configurations. When switched to High-Current mode, the device is optimized for 2 ohms, but also delivers 150 watts RMS per channel. This mode is particularly suitable for those who want to operate lower impedance speakers. Both modes ensure an extremely stable power distribution, making the amplifier perfectly adaptable to various system requirements. Flexibility becomes important, especially with different ohm values.
The Morel MPS 2.500 LIMITED is equipped with high-quality, selected components that ensure an audiophile sound experience. Inside the amplifier, there are operational amplifiers of the type Ti (Burr Brown) OPA2134, known for their low noise and distortion levels. In addition, Rubicon and WIMA capacitors with ultra-low ESR values are used, contributing to sound fidelity. The gold-plated connections not only provide an elegant appearance but also improve signal transmission. With balanced line inputs, disturbing noises are minimized, and signals of up to 20 volts are processed. This selection reflects Morel's dedication to sound quality.
The frequency range of the Morel MPS 2.500 LIMITED extends from 10Hz to 80kHz, amplifying sound across this range with a deviation of only +/-1dB. This range ensures excellent coverage for both low and high tones, providing a comprehensive listening experience for discerning listeners. Such an extension of the hearing range is rare in audio systems and allows the listener to hear nuances in the music that might otherwise be lost. This amplifier is particularly suitable for music lovers who value complete sound spectra.
The Total Harmonic Distortion plus Noise (THD+N) value of the Morel MPS 2.500 LIMITED amplifier is a low 0.02%. This means that the amplifier reproduces the audio signal almost unaltered and true to the original. A low THD+N value is crucial to minimize distortions and unwanted noise in the audio output. Especially if you like to listen to music loudly, a low value is advantageous. The MPS 2.500 LIMITED demonstrates in this regard that it delivers crystal-clear and detailed reproduction even at high volumes, which perfectly satisfies audiophile demands. Another quality feature.
The installation of the Morel MPS 2.500 LIMITED in the car requires precise planning due to its dimensions of 51mm x 170mm x 322mm. However, the removable side panels offer flexible mounting options that allow for seamless integration of the amplifier in the trunk or under the seat. It is important to choose a stable and ventilated location to avoid overheating. Additionally, with the optionally available stacking system, multiple amplifiers can be effectively combined in one system. When installing, make sure to route the cables securely and connect the RCA connections precisely. Avoid chaotic cable routing.
The damping factor of the Morel MPS 2.500 LIMITED is over 250, which distinguishes the amplifier as particularly effective in controlling the movement of the speaker membranes. A high damping factor means that the amplifier is capable of precisely controlling even demanding speakers, minimizing distortion and resonances. Especially with bass speakers, control is crucial for clean and natural reproduction. This ability to optimize speaker damping significantly contributes to the fidelity and dynamics of the entire audio system. Music playback becomes more realistic and balanced.
The signal-to-noise ratio (S/N Ratio) of the Morel MPS 2.500 LIMITED is exceptionally high at 111dB (A-weighted nominal power). A high signal-to-noise ratio means that the amplifier can effectively distinguish the useful signal from background noise, resulting in clearer sound quality. This is particularly important in quieter passages of music, where background noise could detract from the listening experience. The high S/N Ratio ensures that the amplifier operates even at high volumes without distorting the useful signal with noise. Ideal for situations that rely on clarity.
Yes, the Morel MPS 2.500 LIMITED features an optional stacking system that allows for seamless integration of multiple amplifiers from the MPS LIMITED series into a complete system. This is particularly useful in complex audio setups where more power or different configurations may be required individually. The stacking system keeps the amplifiers compactly assembled and reduces the space requirement compared to individual units. It is especially important that the assembly of the stacking system is precise to ensure stability and optimal weight transfer within the vehicle. Acoustic interference is thus effectively reduced.
The Morel MPS 2.500 LIMITED features gold-plated connectors as well as RCA connectors mounted on the chassis for high-quality signal transmission. The gold-plated connectors minimize contact resistance and corrosion, ensuring a reliable connection in the long term. Also important are the balanced line inputs, which can handle signals up to 20 volts. This variety of connections allows for flexible adaptation of the amplifier to various audio outputs and sources. This flexibility is crucial, especially when building more complex audio systems. So, if you want to get maximum performance from your audio system, these connections provide demanding requirements.
The Morel MPS 2.500 LIMITED amplifier has a minimum impedance support of 4 ohms in stereo mode. This minimum impedance is necessary to ensure the stability and efficiency of the amplifier during playback. At this impedance, the amplifier can utilize 150 watts RMS per channel in high-power mode to achieve maximum output with optimal sound fidelity. Operating below this minimum impedance can lead to overheating or distortion, which is why it is advisable to use speakers with no less than this impedance. Proper wiring is important to meet the impedance requirements.
