The Sundown Audio SA series, which includes the Sundown Audio SA12 v.2, is the best-selling series from Sundown Audio! The new v.2 version features a larger, more powerful motor to drive the bigger 2.75-inch coil and stronger centering – this maintains the perfect balance of the original SA series while increasing the power handling to 1000 Watts RMS.

The Sundown Audio SA12 v.2 has a linear excursion (XMAX) of 19 mm, which allows for slightly more than 35 mm x-mech. The motor also features a large magnet ID short-circuit ring (Faraday ring) to reduce distortions caused by inductance and inductance fluctuations over the stroke.

The 18-inch model features a larger motor than the SA-10/12/15 v2 with a diameter of 205 mm and a magnetic gap height of 60 mm. It has a large centering spider package with a diameter of 234 mm for a very high mechanical lift capacity. It uses the same 2.75" coil as the other subwoofers in the SA v.2 series for a rated power of 1000 watts RMS.
