This is particularly relevant for dynamic music genres.
The force factor or BL factor of the ETON Orchestra 7-512/C8/32 RP is 7.2 Tm. This factor describes the productivity of the magnetic force in the voice coil, which is responsible for the movement of the diaphragm. A higher BL value indicates a more efficient conversion of electrical energy into mechanical movement, which is particularly important for the clarity and fidelity of sound output. It supports dynamic and responsive bass reproduction, especially at higher levels.
The ETON Orchestra 7-512/C8/32 RP is a 7" speaker that can be easily integrated into many speaker enclosures due to its compact format. Thanks to its effective radiation area of 137 cm², it also fits into smaller installation dimensions and allows for flexible installation options. The careful design of the cast basket facilitates smooth integration, while the cooling properties of the material help to avoid potential overheating, which is particularly advantageous when installed in tight spaces.
The voice coil of the ETON Orchestra 7-512/C8/32 RP has an inductance of 0.60 mH, which is crucial for controlling the impulse distribution in the frequency response. Optimal inductance helps to dampen harmful resonances and improves the timing and precision of the sound. These characteristics are essential for authentic sound reproduction, where high-frequency distortions are minimized and the low frequencies sound clear and harmonious.
The equivalent volume VAS of the ETON Orchestra 7-512/C8/32 RP is 37.3 dm³. VAS is an important parameter that indicates how much air a speaker can effectively displace, and it significantly influences the deep bass range. Speakers with a higher VAS are often more powerful in reproducing low frequencies in larger enclosures, while this speaker also performs well in smaller volumes. This flexibility makes it versatile and suitable for various acoustic environments.

The deep sound is achieved through the resonance-optimized paper cone geometry, which ensures accuracy and homogeneity even at the highest volume.

Impulse fidelity and precision thanks to special paper membrane geometry

The innovative ribbed paper membrane of the ETON ORCHESTRA woofer stands for exceptional impulse fidelity and precision. This radial structure allows for homogeneous reproduction of frequencies and suppresses mode formations. This is particularly important for the listening experience at higher volumes, where precision in sound reproduction is crucial. Thanks to the special paper mixture, tension modes are reduced and a natural, warm sound is achieved. Unlike many conventional materials, the paper membrane acts as an acoustic optimization for balanced midtones and voluminous bass.

Nominal impedance and direct current resistance for flexible applications

With a nominal impedance of 8 Ω, the ETON ORCHESTRA 7-512/C8/32 RP is ideally designed for use in both 2-way and multi-way systems. A DC resistance of 6.5 Ω ensures efficiency and reduced distortion in the audio range. This configuration makes the speaker excellent for a variety of applications and ensures that audio signals are transmitted cleanly and without distortion. The high impedance favors use in complex multi-speaker scenarios.

Resonance frequency and its effects on the bass range

The resonance frequency of 36 Hz of the ETON ORCHESTRA 7-512/C8/32 RP enables remarkable bass reproduction that is deep and powerful at the same time. This frequency ensures that the speaker reproduces low bass notes accurately and with minimal distortion. A lower resonance frequency would favor deeper bass reproduction but could compromise the precision of midrange reproduction. The chosen value optimizes the bass range, making the speaker particularly suitable for dynamic music styles.

Compliance of the suspension and its significance

With a compliance of 1.42 mm/N, the ETON ORCHESTRA speaker ensures a fine balance between the mobility and stability of the diaphragm. Higher compliance values would lead to a softer and less controlled sound, while lower values could restrict dynamics. This specific value contributes to the outstanding bass control and detail accuracy in the midrange, resulting in a more versatile sound profile.

Mechanical and electrical quality for precise sound reproduction

The mechanical quality of 5.27 and the electrical quality of 0.38 define the efficiency and sound quality of the ETON ORCHESTRA 7-512/C8/32 RP. These values are crucial for minimizing distortion and ensuring accurate sound reproduction. A higher mechanical quality could increase the risk of unevenness in bass reproduction, while the electrical quality controls energy loss across the speaker's network. The overall quality of 0.35 illustrates the perfect balance between mechanical stability and energy efficiency.

Effective radiating area and power factor

With an effective radiation area of 137 cm², the ETON ORCHESTRA mid-bass driver offers a wide and even sound distribution. This large area, combined with a force factor (BL) of 7.2 Tm, enables higher efficiency in sound transmission and a clearly defined, powerful sound. On one hand, a large radiation area provides more voluminous sound waves, while the force factor enhances the speaker's ability to effectively convert magnetic and electrical energy into acoustic signals.

Deflection and Stability of the Membrane

The maximum electrical displacement of +/- 5.5 mm and the mechanical displacement of +/- 8.8 mm ensure that the diaphragm remains fully under control even at high volumes.
