3-layer hexacone sandwich structure for maximum stiffness

The 3-layer Hexacone sandwich membrane of the ETON 5-212/C8/25 Hex Symphony II ensures that you receive an unadulterated sound reproduction at high volume. The three-layer construction combines aramid fibers with a hexagonal internal structure, creating excellent internal absorption capabilities. This construction results in a membrane that offers both high stiffness and absorption. If the value of internal absorption were higher, it could lead to further distortion reduction, ideal for the highest acoustic demands.

Frequency range of 50 - 4000 Hz for a wide sound palette

The frequency range of 50 to 4000 Hz of the ETON 5-212/C8/25 Hex Symphony II mid-bass driver allows for precise reproduction of both low and mid frequencies. This range is ideal for reproducing music genres that rely on strong mids and powerful bass. If the frequency range were smaller, there could be losses in sound diversity and precision, especially at high volume.

Patented production technology with remarkable sound fidelity

The patent for the production process at ETON allows for the implementation of the innovative three-layer construction with aramid fibers. This construction is crucial for unadulterated sound reproduction, as it enables harmonic reflections of the overtones. Such a structure is particularly supportive in demanding acoustic environments, which are often found in cars. If the materials were less rigid, it could significantly negatively affect sound fidelity.

Perfectly symmetrical magnetic field through ferrite magnet design

The ETON 5-212/C8/25 Hex Symphony II uses a special ferrite magnet geometry that creates an almost perfectly symmetrical magnetic field. This geometry minimizes distortions and guarantees a high level of sonic detail accuracy. When using less symmetrical magnetic fields, unwanted background noise could occur, negatively affecting the sound.

Power handling of 50 Watts RMS for powerful sound

With a power handling capacity of 50 watts RMS, the ETON 5-212/C8/25 Hex Symphony II achieves remarkable performance reserves. This wattage allows you to enjoy high volumes without sound distortion. At lower loads, the speaker might be less suitable for intense music pieces and could be overloaded at higher volumes.

Direct current resistance and impedance for optimal performance

The DC resistance of 5.4 Ω and a nominal impedance of 8 Ω play a central role in the overall performance of your audio system. These values ensure that the mid-bass driver operates efficiently and with minimized power losses. A higher impedance could put more strain on the amplifier, while a lower one could overload the speaker.

Compliance of the suspension for precise bass reproduction

The compliance of the suspension is 0.95 mm/N, which allows for precise bass. The flexibility of the suspension enables the speaker to deliver excellent performance even at low frequencies. A higher compliance could lead to less precise sound in the bass range, while a lower compliance could result in limited bass output.

Xmax values for excellent excursions and dynamic sound

The ETON 5-212/C8/25 Hex Symphony II has a maximum mechanical displacement (Xmax) of +/- 7.5 mm and an electrical displacement of +/- 2.5 mm. These values ensure that large amplitudes can be achieved without distorting the sound. If the Xmax were lower, compression effects could occur, which would reduce sound quality at high volumes.

Unique sound spectrum and harmonic overtones

The Symphony II series is characterized by a wide sound spectrum that combines harmoniously light mids and powerful bass. In particular, the overtones are gently reflected, resulting in a harmonious sound reproduction. Compared to other speakers, it is clear that this series, thanks to its superior construction, stands out particularly well in vehicles.

Outstanding musical representation and sound image

The sound image of the ETON 5-212/C8/25 Hex Symphony II is remarkably impressive. Thanks to the Symphony II midrange and bass drivers, a high level of musical representation is achieved, providing an unparalleled listening environment. If another speaker is less focused on the sound image, the results may be less immersive and dynamic.

Equivalence volume of Vas and its influence on acoustics

With a Vas value of 8.5 dm³, the speaker offers excellent deep resonance, which is ideal for closed enclosures. This value significantly affects the bass capability of the speaker. If the Vas value deviates, it could impair the design of the enclosure and negatively affect the sound characteristics.

Flow-assisted casting basket ventilation minimizes compression effects

The flow-supported cast basket of the ETON 5-212/C8/25 Hex Symphony II minimizes compression effects and allows for large amplitudes. Thanks to the increased ventilation provided by the flow-supported cast basket, the sound remains clear and uncolored even at high amplitudes. Without adequate ventilation, compression effects could occur that are sufficient to negatively impact sound quality.
