Description
The Sundown Audio LCS Series subwoofers, which include the Sundown Audio LCS-10 V2 10" (25cm) subwoofer, are renowned for their impressive bass response and high reliability. Typical entry-level subwoofers are severely limited in terms of linear excursion, mechanical robustness and thermal performance - these are all aspects that Sundown Audio has taken to the next level in the Sundown LCS series. The refreshed v.2 update features an all-new custom fabricated frame, push terminals, rubber mounting gasket and improved tinsel cables.
A double-stacked magnet structure and an extremely long voice coil enable a class-leading linear x-max of 14 mm in one direction to be achieved, in addition to high mechanical clearances (over 2" tip-to-tip). The large coil combined with gap venting, beveled pole piece design and optimized pole venting give the LCS series impressive thermal performance. Mechanical stability and longevity are ensured by the strong paper cone, robust foam surround and a high quality spider with fully bonded ribbed cables. All key areas of subwoofer longevity have been considered to the maximum possible level in this category.
