The EM-FDF1 speaker set from Emphaser, specially designed for Ford models, offers a high-quality solution for vehicle enthusiasts. The 16.5 cm 2-way compo system is characterized by its aluminum membrane woofers and 25 mm fabric dome tweeters, which ensure a detailed and brilliant sound. Equipped with a powerful magnetic drive and vehicle-specific connections, the set ensures easy installation and optimal performance. The 12 dB/12 dB/oct. crossover ensures harmonious sound transitions and a real hi-fi sound without the need for an additional subwoofer. Ideal for Ford Transit and Tourneo models, the EM-FDF1 combines precision and dynamics in a compact package.
The woofer
The core element of the speaker set are the woofers with Cambridge surround in "M" design and an aluminum membrane - the high sound conductivity and stability of aluminum form the basis for precise music reproduction and excellent dynamics. The thickness of the membrane material is chosen so that it offers the stability for impressive bass attacks, but also the necessary lightness for precise mids.
Thanks to the large magnetic drive with Faraday copper ring and the low overall weight of the oscillating unit, the EMPHASER loudspeaker system achieves a high level of efficiency and thus achieves its convincing performance - even when the EM-FDF1 is only operated on a "normal" radio.
The tweeter
The tweeters with 25 mm fabric dome impress with their brilliance and spatial reproduction and are simply snapped into the original brackets. The membrane geometry offers a uniform directional characteristic for excellent sound in the original installation location. In addition to the low weight of the membrane, surround and voice coil, the conscious decision not to use ferrofluid is primarily responsible for the tweeter playing so lively, spatial and coloration-free.
The crossover
The 12 dB/12 dB/oct. crossover for the woofer ensures an extremely harmonious frequency response down to the bass range; a separate subwoofer is therefore no longer absolutely necessary for audiophile hi-fi music enjoyment. An LCR resonant circuit has also been integrated to optimally adapt the system to the vehicle acoustics. The crossovers are located directly on the woofer or as a cable crossover on the tweeter to enable easy installation.
