The ECP-G6 is a 6.5" (16.5cm) speaker set from Emphaser that impresses with its innovative CRYSTALGRAIN compound membrane. The woofer

The new "CRYSTALGRAIN" compound membrane is responsible for the warmth of the GRAVITY sound. It combines the high rigidity and damping effect of paper with the direct step response of the quartz crystals attached to the top. The membrane thickness is selected so that it offers the stability for heavy bass attacks and the necessary lightness for precise mids. The durable surround ensures that the ECP-G6 loses none of its precise reproduction even at high levels and thus high membrane deflections. The compos owe their clean, crisp bass foundation and their level capabilities to the powerful strontium ferrite magnets of the mid/woofer.

The carefully selected components are supported by the minimalist design of the EMPHASER FlowMax die-cast aluminum basket. The very open construction with the filigree struts gives the rear-radiated sound maximum space and a minimum of unwanted reflection surfaces that affect the sound. And despite its filigree design, the construction offers maximum stability. Another innovation is the new EMPHASER screw terminal: although it is very solid, it takes up very little space and ensures secure signal transmission with the force-locking connection using solid hexagon screws and gold-plated contact surfaces.

The tweeter

The 25 mm tweeter with fabric dome impresses with its warm sound and can reproduce even the smallest musical details. The membrane geometry offers a uniform directional characteristic for excellent sound in a wide variety of installation situations. In addition to the low weight of the membrane, surround and voice coil, the conscious decision not to use ferrofluid is primarily responsible for the tweeter's lively, spatial and coloration-free sound. The protective grille with its very large opening area offers high sound permeability and low reflections. The included surface-mounted housing enables installation at two different beam angles for perfect adaptation to the vehicle acoustics.

The crossover

The components of the crossovers have been defined in intensive series of tests in the laboratory and in various vehicles in order to achieve the best possible phase position of the components with the smallest possible space requirement. The result is authentic-sounding voices and instruments with precise stage imaging and impressive spatial depth. The crossovers are divided into a treble and a bass branch. This enables easy installation directly at the installation location without having to lay new cables across the vehicle.
