The CTK Mastic1 is an extremely heavy gReady-to-use, brushable, 1-component anti-drumming paste with a very hard, stable final consistency. The CTK Insulating paste has excellent sound absorption and vibration dampening properties. After drying, a solid protective layer is formed on the treated surface that is resistant to mechanical impacts, vibrations and corrosion. The dampening paste can therefore also be applied in damp areas. The paste is initially sticky, but hardens within a few hours after application. The insulating paste is ideal for all cladding parts, as these are usually particularly unstable and susceptible to vibration.
A common problem with insulation with Alubutyl is that you cannot get into all the slots and cracks in the door panels, etc., which means that even after insulation with Alubutyl, various panels continue to rattle and buzz. That's it, the insulation paste is over!
characteristics CTK Mastic1 insulation paste:
- Flexible corrosion-resistant paste that dampens vibrations and suppresses noise, based on butyl rubber mass
- Corrosion protection, waterproof, with dampening and noise-suppressing properties
- Can be diluted with solvents for phthalic, oil or bitumen products (e.g. white spirit)
- Application in the car, especially good for trim parts
- Ready-to-use, spreadable and trowelable compound for effective sound insulation in the automotive, home hi-fi, machine and construction sectors. The highly stable material consistency results in extreme stiffening of the substrate, for the soundproofing of structure-borne noise by simply immobilising vibrating parts. The material density of the additives results in great effectiveness, even with low application thickness.
- The choice of material, with its weight and stability, results in an effective increase in the load-bearing capacity of the subsoil through energy impact.
Data CTK Mastic1 insulation paste:
- Color: Black
- Consumption when applying a 1 mm thick layer: 1.2-1.5 kg / m2
- Recommended thickness of applied layers: at least 2 mm
- Operating temperature range: -30ºC to + 80ºC
- recommended brush application temperature: 15-25ºC
- Packaging content: 2.0 kg
Application CTK Mastic1 insulation paste:
-
Further processing is done using a brush or spatula.
- Recommended layer thickness: Up to 5mm per pass to shorten air drying time.
-
For very smooth surfaces, a small amount of primer is recommended. First, apply a thin, thick coat to the entire surface and allow to dry briefly if necessary. This measure ensures a significantly better bond with the surface.
- The user must always of the respective product, check the suitability of the substrate and the compatibility with various environmental conditions yourself. The surfaces must be load-bearing, solid, clean, dry, free of oil/grease and dust. Due to the many possible applications, we always recommend carrying out your own tests before further processing.
Advantages CTK Mastic1 insulation paste:
- stable curing
- high solid consistency
- odorless and drip-proof during processing
- strong adhesion, 1 - 15 mm material application in one step
- water-dilutable for better processing
- UV, weather and rot resistant
