The Sundown Audio X15 v3 from the Xv3 series is the first subwoofer model, which Sundown Audio's "Ultra-High Excursion" suspension and frame constructions are used. The models in 10, 12, 15 and 18" are equipped with specially manufactured and patented frames that allow a huge centering spider.
Sundown Audio introduces the Sundown Audio X15 v3 one new platform with a huge, triple-stacked 250 mm diameter engine structure, which allows for an extreme X-Mech of over 100mm. This motor drives a 4-layer 3" diameter CCAW coil wound on a thick aluminum bobbin and has incredible deflection. In version v3 The coil has been upgraded to a new "black coil design" that dissipates significantly more heat than the X v2 series coil.
The Xv3 series subwoofers are designed for the LOWEST possible frequencies in the smallest possible enclosure, while at the same time maintaining extremely low distortion.
Innovations of the Xv3 series compared to the Xv2 series:
- Power handling increased from 2000 watts RMS to 2500 watts RMS.
- Higher XMAX of 30mm linear per direction
- Larger magnet and thus significantly increased BL
- New voice coil of the Zv5 series
