The history and background of Gately Audio
Born in Northern California, Bobby Gately grew up in the Bay Area and became deeply interested in car audio at age 14. Growing up in a family of car enthusiasts, he learned about tools, materials and hard work at an early age.
Bobby built his first subwoofer enclosure in the summer of 1989 on the front lawn of his house in Milpitas using borrowed tools and inexpensive materials. This first box for his friend Jason was, of course, just the beginning.
Over the years, Bobby has acquired a vast knowledge of sound engineering, trends and manipulation. His mastery of custom-made products is based on years of material experimentation and technical innovation.
Gately Audio began manufacturing Production and Perfect Fit enclosures in 2017 to achieve the best quality in the industry. Bobby tirelessly redesigned and improved each and every enclosure added to the lineup and he continues to do so today. Gately Audio is synonymous with quality craftsmanship, beautiful aesthetics and unmatched performance.
