The Sundown Audio SA series, which includes the Sundown Audio SA8 v.3, is Sundown Audio's top-selling series! The brand new v.3 version offers a larger, more powerful motor to drive the 2-inch coil and stronger centering - this maintains the perfect balance of the original SA series while increasing the power handling to 500 watts RMS. The Sundown Audio SA8 v.3 is the first subwoofer available in version v.3!
The Sundown Audio SA8 v.3 has a linear excursion (XMAX) of 16mm which allows for just over 32mm x-mech. The motor also features a large magnet ID shorting ring (Faraday ring) to reduce distortion caused by inductance and inductance variations across the stroke.
