When replacing loudspeakers at the factory, cheap plastic adapter rings are usually used for the vehicle-specific installation openings. These often thin-walled adapters are not particularly stable and, due to a lack of mass, do not offer high-quality loudspeakers the necessary support and insufficient stability for them to work properly. Another unpleasant side effect is the sound permeability and the "vibration" of the plastic ring and the resulting loss of sound.
