Sundown Audio started development with specially crafted and vented stamped frames for each individual midrange driver to ensure durability, excellent voice coil cooling, and great looks. This is combined with a specially designed, highly linear motor structure that drives the extremely smooth-sounding poly cone. The front of each speaker features a well-damped rubber surround and a rubber sealing ring around the tweeter stem (for weather and dust protection as well as the air pump effect). The tweeter of the E Series is equipped with a titanium dome, which provides a "sharper" sound than the SA Series, but not excessively so—the tweeter is well-damped at the edges.
