Beschreibung

The miniDSP UMIK-2 (latest version 2!) is a calibrated USB-C reference measurement microphone with extremely low noise floor, 32-bit ADC with selectable sampling rate and individual calibration file.

The miniDSP UMIK-2 is a powerful measuring microphone from our measuring devices category. The UMIK-2 was developed by miniDSP as an improvement on the popular UMIK-1, one of Masori's best-selling products.

The measurement microphone already has an integrated sound card and therefore only needs to be connected to the PC via USB-C works completely independently, so that there are guaranteed to be no measurement inaccuracies caused by the PC sound card.

The UMIK-2 is equipped with a large 13mm microphone capsule for reduced noise floor and improved distortion performance. The microphone is powered via USB-C and offers driverless support on OS X and Linux. MiniDSP has developed its own ASIO driver for easy integration with Microsoft Windows.

The built-in ADC with a 32-bit resolution converts the measurement signal while maintaining high quality. The UMIK-2 is recommended by REW (Room Equalization Wizard) and DiracLive (V3.x and higher) for the highest measurement accuracy. The selectable sampling rate (44.1 to 192 kHz) allows for easy integration into most other measurement and recording software.

Highlights

    • Simple USB-C connection
    • Driverless support for Mac OS X and Linux (Windows requires ASIO drivers)
    • Compatible with all measurement software solutions
    • Flat frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz (+/- 1 dB)
    • Suitable for reference applications
    • Individual calibration file for each microphone
    • 1/2" capsule removable through 60 UNS thread
    • ADC with 32-bit resolution and selectable sample rate between 44.1 and 192 kHz
    • custom Windows ASIO driver and plug&play with Linux/Mac OS X
    • Low noise floor preamplifier, 120DR ADC
    • Plug&Play compatibility with REW & Dirac Live
    • Max 125dB SPL
    • Black anodized aluminum housing

Product details

The UMIK-2 is a plug & play measurement microphone developed by miniDSP. The UMIK-2 is perfect for acquiring frequency response data, or for designing loudspeakers, for measuring room modes / room correction or for Carhifi and home theater calibration and many other acoustic measurement applications. The miniDSP UMIK-2 is recommended by Dirac Live and REW.

The microphone is powered via USB-C and has a 32-bit ADC. This means no preamp or sound card is required. Thanks to the USB Audio Class 1 interface, all common operating systems and acoustic measurement software are supported without drivers. Each microphone comes with an individual calibration file that ensures a flat frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

What's in the box?

    • 1 x miniDSP UMIK-2 microphone
    • 1 x Shielded USB Type-C Cable (2m)
    • 1 x mini tripod + microphone clamp
    • 1 x windscreen

Download individual calibration file

Each miniDSP UMIK-2 has an individual calibration file. You can download this calibration file from miniDSP with the serial number of the measurement microphone.
