It is a 6.5" (16.5cm) device that is at the top of its segment in terms of both sound and performance. With the M3-650X you can expect an incomparable sound experience. In addition to the excellent long-throw woofer design and excellent power handling, special features of this product include a high-quality 0.75" tweeter made of pure silk dome. - Designed and built specifically for marine use, M3 coaxial systems offer outstanding performance at a lower price than our maximum performance M6 models.
- The M6-5X 3.650-inch coaxial speaker is based on the standard 6.5-inch speaker format and features a wide mounting flange with a six-hole mounting pattern.
- The long-throw woofer design and excellent power handling ensure your music comes through loud and clear at speed or at anchor. The woofer design is optimized to operate with a large volume of air behind it (at least 2 L / 57 cu. ft.). Operating this coaxial system in less space will compromise its low frequency performance.
- A 0.75-inch pure silk dome tweeter, specially treated to withstand the marine environment, handles the high frequency duties. Silk was chosen for its lightness, excellent damping properties and smooth response.
- Although M3-650X coaxial systems can be used with as little as 20 W per channel, we recommend amplifiers with a continuous power output between 75 and 100 W per channel for optimal audio performance.
