The Alpine Halo series has become one of the world's most popular head-unit lines and has been honored with numerous industry awards for its outstanding concept and design. The second generation of the Alpine Halo11 features a high-resolution XXL 11-inch display, DAB+ digital radio, wireless Apple CarPlay, two USB ports, further enhanced sound quality and sound-tuning options. 11-inch WXGA touchscreen in HD quality

The large 28 cm (11-inch) HD touchscreen has a resolution of 1280 x 720p (WXGA) - this now displays icons, menus and visual content even more clearly and vividly on your dashboard. The steplessly tilt-adjustable screen is firmly attached to the 1-DIN housing and can be installed in almost all 1-DIN or 2-DIN openings.

Apple CarPlay Wireless

For even more convenience, the iLX-F115T61 offers wireless connectivity via Apple CarPlay Wireless with the iPhone. This allows iPhone users to leave their phone in their pocket while in the vehicle and conveniently make calls, retrieve and reply to text messages, use music apps, and even get turn-by-turn navigation. Access to Apple CarPlay is via the capacitive touchscreen or the voice button to activate Siri voice control.

Steering wheel remote control

The Alpine system is fully compatible with the Volkswagen T6.1 steering wheel controls, including the buttons for answering and rejecting phone calls with SIRI and OK Google support.

Wide range of entertainment options

The completely newly developed 1.5x DAB+/FM/AM tuner enables switching between DAB and FM and lets you enjoy seamless radio reception without interruptions. In addition to the expanded USB video playback formats (MP4, MOV, FLV, MKV), the Alpine Halo11 offers many additional entertainment options. With the integrated Bluetooth module you can use audio streaming from your phone, and an HDMI input allows connection of an external video playback device).

The world's first head unit with integrated Class-D amplifier

The iLX-F115T61 is the world’s first head unit for the aftermarket to feature an integrated Class-D amplifier with 4x 50 watts of power. This amplifier delivers excellent high-end sound reproduction with extremely low noise and barely measurable phase shifts. The main advantage of Class-D amplifier technology is the high efficiency of approx. 110 %, compared to 50–70 % for Class-AB amplifiers. A new cooling concept with internal heatsinks ensures that your Alpine Halo11 always reaches the correct operating temperature – and plays your favorite music.

Enjoy excellent sound quality

With a parametric 56-band equalizer, the digital crossover, a digital 6-channel time correction and multiple Bass Engine SQ- presets- and MediaXpander-sound-tuning options, you have excellent possibilities at your disposal to perfectly tune your Alpine Halo11 car stereo or connected amplifier-/speaker systems. But that's not all: The Alpine Halo11 is Hi-Res Audio-certified and can decode and play Hi-Res audio files up to 116 kHz / 1.536 kbps from uncompressed USB sources in formats such as FLAC, WAV and APE.

Tiltable screen

You can continuously adjust the screen on the iLX-F115T61 between +45° and -20° tilt at any time for optimal readability and to avoid sun glare.

Adjustable height and depth

The height of the display can be adjusted by +/- 3 cm from the center position before installation. This makes previously concealed switches and buttons in the dashboard accessible again. In addition, the installation depth, and thus the distance between the dashboard and the display, can also be set within a range of 20 mm prior to installation.

Driver assistance cameras

A rear-view camera is a great way to make reversing safer. The camera image activates automatically when you shift into reverse. Distance guidelines are displayed on the screen and can be adjusted to your vehicle's dimensions to help you park safely. Alpine offers a wide selection of front and rear cameras, including multiview cameras with selectable viewing angles. You can even display the camera image and the parking sensor screen simultaneously if your T6.1 supports it.

The iLX-F115T61 includes a precisely fitting 1-DIN frame, a wiring harness with CAN interface and an antenna adapter Over the CAN bus interface the steering wheel remote control buttons and the vehicle settings can still be used.

Support for the multifunction display (MFA)

The iLX-F115T61 supports the Multi-Function Display (MFA) in the instrument cluster. When connected to an Alpine head unit, the MFA displays radio station names, song titles and artist information, caller names and other useful information.

Vehicle settings and controls

The most important thing when retrofitting or replacing is to ensure that the vehicle's settings menu remains accessible. Alpine makes this very easy and convenient: All vehicle settings can be conveniently viewed in the Settings menu of your Alpine head unit and adjusted on the touchscreen.

Maintaining the visual display of the parking sensors

If your T6.1 is equipped with factory parking sensors, you can continue to use this convenient feature when retrofitting to an Alpine Halo system. The parking sensor system is connected to your Alpine display and shows a convenient distance indicator. If you already have a factory rearview camera, it will also be fully integrated into the Alpine system.

Compatible with the original VW microphone

The iLX-F115T61 is compatible with your original Volkswagen hands-free microphone. That makes installation faster and easier, as no additional microphone needs to be installed.

Bluetooth Hi-Res audio streaming

With LDAC, you can stream your audio content, including high-resolution (Hi-Res) audio, over Bluetooth at a maximum bitrate of 990 kbps. The wireless Bluetooth connection to your smartphone or Bluetooth-enabled digital audio players is made possible by the built-in high-end LDAC standard. This makes this Alpine Head Unit ideal for Hi-Res audio and high-quality streaming services. The transmission bitrate is continuously adjusted by this technology to ensure a stable connection in critical environments.

Motorhome navigation with the Alpine Navi Stick

The Alpine Navi Stick KTX-NS01EU (optional) can be seamlessly connected to the iLX-F115T61 and provides instant access to modern motorhome navigation with live traffic information. Simply plug the Navi Stick into the USB port of your Alpine Halo unit to use the latest iGo Primo Nextgen navigation with the HERE map database for all of Europe. Connect your Alpine Navi Stick to a mobile hotspot or your smartphone to receive HERE real-time traffic information. This lets you monitor local traffic flow at a glance via color-coded indicators and easily avoid busy roads. The Alpine Navi Stick is especially recommended for motorhome drivers, as it also includes the complete park4night database of overnight parking spots.
