Whether you have a sophisticated aftermarket sound system or other accessories such as lights, winches, air pumps, etc., it is important that you install a fuse as close to the battery as possible to protect yourself from fire and catastrophic damage caused by a short circuit.
• Made 100% in the USA at SMD headquarters, this industrial-grade ANL fuse holder looks as good as it performs. It's machined from HDPE, uses metals like aluminum, stainless steel, and copper, and topped off with a 3/16" clear acrylic cover (to protect against accidental contact with live terminals).
• This unit is designed to withstand the elements and perform for many years wherever you choose to install it! As this is our high temperature model, it is recommended to mount it under the hood (in the engine compartment), but you can also mount it in the cabin or trunk. These parts are also suitable for marine use as they will not corrode!
• *Recommended installation location within 18" of the power source (e.g. front battery, alternator or auxiliary battery)
