Beschreibung
The ECP-M4 4" (10cm) speaker set from Emphaser offers detailed and low-distortion reproduction thanks to an aluminum membrane and durable butyl rubber surround in the midrange speaker. The 25 mm tweeter impresses with a warm sound and reproduces even the smallest musical details. Two selectable crossover frequencies and a three-stage level adjustment of the crossovers enable precise acoustic adjustment depending on the installation situation. The set includes two tweeters, two midrange speakers, four crossovers and two speaker grills. With a nominal load capacity of 70 W RMS and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, it covers a frequency range from 100 Hz to 22 kHz.
The midrange speaker
Our aluminum membrane for the bass/midrange speaker is ideal for detailed and extremely low-distortion reproduction due to its hardness and high natural resonance frequency. The thickness of the membrane is selected so that it offers the necessary stability and lightness for precise mids. The durable surround ensures that the ECP-M4 loses none of its precise reproduction even at high levels and thus higher membrane deflections. The Compo ECP-M4 owes its clean, crisp reproduction and its level capabilities to the powerful strontium ferrite magnets of the midrange speaker. Details such as the aluminum die-cast basket with optimized temperature management, the butyl rubber surround, a copper cap on the pole core, a 2-layer copper wire voice coil on a temperature-resistant aluminum voice coil carrier or the durable Connex centering spider with woven voice coil lead underline the quality of these speakers.
The tweeter
The 25 mm tweeter with fabric dome impresses with its warm sound and can reproduce even the smallest musical details. The membrane geometry offers a uniform directional characteristic for excellent sound in a wide variety of installation situations. In addition to the low weight of the membrane, surround and voice coil, the conscious decision not to use ferrofluid is primarily responsible for the tweeter playing so lively, spatially and without discoloration.

For the ECP-M4 10 cm Compo system, two crossover frequencies can be selected for the tweeter in order to acoustically compensate for the spatial distance to the midrange speaker, which can be shorter or longer depending on the installation situation. The components of the crossovers were defined in intensive series of tests in the laboratory and in the vehicle in order to achieve the best possible phase position of the components. The result is authentic-sounding voices and instruments, with precise stage imaging and impressive spatial depth.
