The DD Audio EA-3.1 is one of the most advanced sound deadening materials on the market. It is constructed from a 3mm thick specially formulated butyl rubber polymer composite reinforced with 100 microns of aluminum to create a sound deadening material that is twice as thick but just as light as most leading brands' offerings, while outperforming thicker and much heavier lower quality materials. This means easier installation and better attenuation of unwanted energy such as road noise, vibration, panel resonance and noise coming from other vehicles with non-DD sound systems.
The DD Audio EA-3.1 is supplied in a roll. One roll is usually sufficient for a single layer in all 4 doors and tailgate in most standard size vehicles or for more than one layer in small vehicles.
