The Sundown Audio E-Series, of coaxial/component speakers, which includes the Sundown Audio E-6.5CS 6.5" (16.5cm) front system set, is designed to offer the best value for money. Sundown Audio started the design process with custom-machined and ventilated stamped frames for each individual midrange driver to ensure durability, excellent voice coil cooling and great looks. This is combined with a custom-designed, very linear motor structure that drives the extremely smooth sounding poly cone. The front of each speaker is fitted with a well-damped rubber surround and a rubber sealing ring around the tweeter stem (for weather and dust protection as well as the air pump effect). The E-Series tweeter is fitted with a titanium dome, which provides a "sharper" sound than the SA-Series, but not overly so - the tweeter is well dampened around the edges.
