Mastic1 Butyl Paste by CTK
The CTK Mastic1 is an extremely heavy, ready-to-use, brushable, 1-component anti-drone paste with a very hard, stable final consistency. The CTK damping paste has excellent sound absorption and vibration damping properties. After drying, a solid protective layer forms on the treated surface, which is resistant to mechanical impacts, vibrations, and corrosion. Therefore, the damping paste can also be applied in damp areas. Initially, the paste is sticky, and it hardens within a few hours after application. The damping paste is ideally suited for all cladding parts, as these are usually particularly unstable and prone to vibrations.
A common problem with insulation using Alubutyl is that you can't reach all the grooves and cracks of the door panels, etc., which means that even after insulating with Alubutyl, various panel parts continue to rattle and buzz. With the damping paste, this is now a thing of the past!
Features CTK Mastic1 Insulation Paste:
- Flexible corrosion-resistant paste that dampens vibrations and suppresses noise, based on butyl rubber compound.
- Corrosion protection, waterproof, with damping and noise-reducing properties
- Can be diluted with solvents for phthalate, oil, or bitumen products (e.g. test gasoline)
- Application in the car, especially good for trim parts
- Ready-to-use, brushable and trowelable mass for effective sound insulation in the automotive, home hi-fi, machinery, and construction sectors. The highly stable material consistency causes extreme stiffening of the substrate, to dampen structural noise by simply immobilizing resonating parts. The material density of the aggregates results in high effectiveness, even with low application thickness.
- The material selection results in an effective increase in the load capacity of the substrate due to energy impact, considering weight application and stability.
Data CTK Mastic1 Insulation Paste:
- Color: Black
- Consumption when applying a 1 mm thick layer: 1.2-1.5 kg / m²
- Recommended thickness of the applied layers: at least 2 mm
- Operating temperature range: -30ºC to + 80ºC
- Recommended brush application temperature: 15-25ºC
- Packaging content: 2.0 kg
Application CTK Mastic1 Insulation Paste:
- The further processing is done using a brush or spatula.
- Recommended layer thickness: Up to 5 mm per pass to reduce air drying time.
- For very smooth surfaces, a primer with a small amount is recommended. First, apply a thin and even coat over the entire area and possibly allow it to dry briefly. This measure ensures a significantly improved bond with the substrate.
- The user must fundamentally check the suitability of the substrate and the compatibility with various environmental conditions on their own before applying the respective product. The surfaces must be load-bearing, solid, clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, and dust. We recommend conducting property tests due to the many possible applications before any further processing takes place.
Advantages of CTK Mastic1 Insulation Paste:
- Stable Curing
- High Fest Consistency
- Odorless and drip-proof during processing
- Haftstrong, 1 - 15 mm material application in one operation
- Water-dilutable for better processing
- UV, weather, and rot resistant
