If a set with, for example, 40, 80 or 120Ah is to be designed, only 1 balancer is required! The balancer is then connected to 6 cells that are in series and the other cells are simply connected in parallel to the cells connected in series. Here is a connection example with 6 and 12 cells and a balancer:
