The C1-650X from JL Audio is the top-selling speaker system and consists of a coaxial speaker system with a 6.5-inch (165 mm) woofer and a 0.75-inch (19 mm) aluminum dome tweeter. • The C1 speakers deliver real substance and great audio performance in a format designed to be easily mounted behind factory grilles.
  
• To facilitate installation, the C1-650x includes multi-application adapter rings that allow easy installation in vehicles with oversized 6.5" and 6.75" speaker openings. Without the ring, the speaker will also fit in many "6" speaker positions.
  
• The C1 mid-woofer drivers benefit from JL Audio's proprietary FEA modeling and experience in woofer design. 
• At the heart of the C1-650x is a proprietary, stamped 6.50-inch (165 mm) steel frame and a DMA-optimized motor system. A mineral-filled, injection-molded polypropylene cone is suspended with a rubber surround at the front and a carefully engineered flat conex® -Spider on top of the voice coil to precisely control the movement of the voice coil. 
• These are the same features and materials that are normally found in much more expensive speakers.
  
• Equipped with a true edge-controlled aluminum dome tweeter, the C1 speakers further differentiate themselves from other speakers in their category with their superior clarity and definition in the high frequency range.
• The tweeter design inherently has excellent off-axis response and high frequency extension. It also benefits from the damping of a silk surround suspension and ferrofluid in the voice coil gap, as well as the superior strength of a neodymium magnetic circuit. A true 2nd order high pass filter is used to further increase smoothness and improve power handling.
