JL Audio C1-690X

The C1-690X is a 6"x9" speaker set from JL Audio that offers you an impressive audio experience. It is a coaxial speaker system equipped with a 6 x 9-inch woofer and a 1.0-inch aluminum dome tweeter. The C1 speakers deliver a solid performance and are designed to be easily mounted behind factory grilles. The included spacers/adapter rings make installation even easier. What makes this set special is the company's proprietary stamped oval steel frame and the DMA optimized motor system, which enables precise control and movement. With a RMS continuous power handling of 60 W and a recommended amplifier power of 10 - 100 W per channel, the C1-690X offers superior clarity and definition in the high frequency range.

• The C1 woofer drivers benefit from JL Audio's proprietary FEA modeling and expertise in woofer driver development. 
• At the heart of the C1-690x is a proprietary 6" x 9" (150 x 230 mm) stamped oval steel frame and a DMA optimized motor system. A mineral filled injection molded polypropylene cone is fitted with a rubber surround at the front and a carefully engineered flat conex® -Spider suspended from the top of the voice coil to precisely control movement and prevent shocks between the voice coil and the back plate. 
• These are the same features and materials that are normally found in much more expensive speakers.
  
• Equipped with a true edge-controlled aluminum dome tweeter, the C1 speakers further differentiate themselves from other speakers in their category with their superior treble clarity and definition. The tweeter design inherently has excellent off-axis response and treble extension. It also benefits from the damping of a silk surround suspension and ferrofluid in the voice coil gap, as well as the superior strength of a neodymium magnetic circuit. A true 2nd order high-pass filter is employed to further increase smoothness and improve power handling.
