Frequently Asked Questions about Powersport HMP 1D

What are the housing features of the Hertz Powersport HMP 1D?

The Hertz Powersport HMP 1D features a robust housing made of die-cast aluminum. This compact design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also provides the amplifier with increased durability. The IPX64 rating means that the housing is protected against dust ingress and splashing water, which is particularly advantageous for use in demanding environments such as UTVs, ATVs, and motorcycles. Additionally, the die-cast aluminum housing supports heat reduction by effectively dissipating internal heat, contributing to performance stability. Another advantage of the aluminum construction is its lightweight of only 1.35 kg, which simplifies installation.

How is the crossover of the Hertz Powersport HMP 1D designed?

The integrated crossover of the Hertz Powersport HMP 1D is designed to provide maximum flexibility in system design. It includes a low-pass filter that operates at either 65 Hz, 85 Hz, or 115 Hz with a slope of 12 dB/octave. These adjustment options allow for precise output tailoring to the requirements of the sound system. Additionally, a subsonic filter is integrated, which can be set to 22 Hz or 32 Hz, protecting the sound from unwanted low frequencies. These adjustments ensure targeted sound optimization and provide a balanced sound profile.

What power specifications does the Marine Amplifier Powersport HMP 1D offer?

The Powersport HMP 1D delivers an output power of 150 watts RMS at 4 ohms and 250 watts RMS at 2 ohms with a supply voltage of 14.4 VDC. With a higher distortion threshold of 10%, the power increases to 180 watts at 4 ohms and 300 watts at 2 ohms. These power values illustrate the efficiency of the amplifier in terms of energy conversion. The HMP 1D impresses with a total power of 300 watts RMS, making it suitable for powerful and dynamic audio playback. At low impedances, the amplifier reaches its optimal sound potential.

How is the Hertz Powersport HMP 1D affected by electromagnetic interference?

The Hertz Powersport HMP 1D is equipped with specially balanced inputs that ensure high suppression of electromagnetic interference. This protection mechanism minimizes potential disturbances that could occur during the audio experience. The balanced inputs filter out interference before it reaches the Amplifier, allowing for clear and uncolored sound. Especially in environments where electromagnetic interference is common, such as near motors or other electrical devices, these inputs provide a practical advantage for interference-free sound reproduction.

What control options does the Powersport HMP 1D offer for volume control?

The Hertz Powersport HMP 1D offers user-friendly volume control options thanks to the included HRC BM remote control. This remote allows for precise adjustment of the Amplifier level directly from its position. The volume control range extends from -50 dB to +6 dB, enabling fine tuning. The HRC BM remote not only provides convenience but also a secure way of control, allowing maintenance and adjustments without physical access to the Amplifier. This makes operating the sound system more intuitive and user-friendly.

What is the total harmonic distortion of the Hertz Powersport HMP 1D and what does it mean?

The total harmonic distortion of the Hertz Powersport HMP 1D is only 0.1 percent at a measurement of 100 Hz and 4 Ohms. This means that distortions in the audio signal are extremely low, and the Amplifier reproduces a clear and undistorted sound. The low total harmonic distortion is an indicator of the high sound fidelity of the Amplifier and shows that unwanted harmonic distortions are minimized. Especially at higher volumes or with more complex musical pieces, this value ensures that no sonic misinformation occurs, contributing to an authentic and detailed audio enjoyment.

What features make the Hertz Powersport HMP 1D particularly suitable for outdoor vehicles?
